I've had a problem a few times, not so much a lack of particles to analyse but the stupid thing will take a measurement but not actually notice that I've revved it up.
I just put this down to the machine being crap (as per the other thread I started)
In fairness to it it does measure very small amounts quite well, it's just everthing else it has a problem with.

| I have the same problem when testing some saabs with particle filters. I get a message saying "Undetected peak", so I abort test and advise emissions too low to be measured on vt32. My machine will print ticket saying test aborted.

| we asked the question at a recent seminar & were advised to make a note of it on the VT40 & keep the VT40 with all the other emission print outs .

hi
no it does not give you the option to abort. after clearing the message it goes back to the setup screen.

I was reliably informed that if all correct procedure was carried out, temp, purge etc and if no reading was obtainable, write as such on print out, test carried out correctly.
No need to keep reving the Knacks out of them because they are TOO clean.

hi all
we have a sun 2500 gas tester and over the last few weeks on some of the newer diesels their emissions are so low that i can not get a reading, then a message pops up on screen no acceleration detected. even after several attempts still get same result, works fine on all other occasions. machine has been checked and no faults found. my question is how do i stand as regards to producing emissions paperwork to prove that the check has been done and that it has passed.
