Hi Bimmer, I've just acquired a pair of DGA1800s from a defunct dealership and want to get in touch with a Sun engineer able to test, re-calibrate and repair these machines. Can you pass on details if he is in the South East? I've been told that Snap-On also offer this service.
I am a small indy, restoring and servicing older Citroen and Peugeot cars. I need to test to MOT standard, but do not need the machines to be locked into the MOT system.

Hi Wes,
I've already tried removing the filters and probe hose just for the auto cal to see if it makes any difference, but it didn't.
The guy I got it from said that it could have something to do with this "valve" that sticks out the back. Ali block with a hose passing through it and a cylinder above with an electrical connection.
If it is this, I haven't found anywhere yet that does spares...

Hello Brunty,
Have a look behind the machine for any filters or water traps, they sometimes need a clean out or replacement.
Hope this helps,
wes.

Hello,
I've just got myself an old Sun MGA 1200 gas analyser. It's for private use rather than an MOT test station.
Unfortunately it comes up with HC residue error after warming up and doing a self cal.
Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction with fixing this unit up?
Thanks
Brunty
