normally when i see this then someone has been trying to swipe your wheels(assuming they havent been off for brakes/tyres etc)and the one remaining wheel nut tends to be the locknut that f***wit o`pikey couldnt get off.wheels are NOT removed for mot,we dont get allocated the time or resources to do so.think carefully about the last time they could have been removed for whatever reason, also are there any trims etc covering them?aftermarket wheels with a different depth are another possibility, studs dont reach/shake loose/drop off.any further information would be appreciated.

My old Golf had an MOT last week and has travelled a little over 20 miles since. Yesterday one of the wheels fell off! On inspection (the police came as it was in a dangerous position) we found that the wheel nuts had dropped out all except the final one and only a small portion at the end of the final nut was stripped. This would suggest that they hadn't been tightened up.
Any comments or advise very welcome....
Been having any new tyres fitted for the test - or some DIY repairs perhaps - more info needed I think ???

Wheel loss - here's one I got called out to a little while ago.
Ford Transit 16 seat PSV - with passengers - on the motorway en route to the airport.
High standards of maintenance judging by the condition of the brake shoes - NOT

Hi MC o3
Wheels are not removed during the MOT!
We are not even allowed to remove wheel TRIMS never mind wheels.
More likely is someone has been trying to nick one of your wheels? Are they alloys?
