That is fine, Lambda value should read 1.0 (+/- 3%) as golf said, 1.03 - 0.97, and if renewed in 2008 should not be defective yet, however, stranger things have happened!
K-Reg means first registered at the earliest Aug. 1992 so it will be subject to BET test and if as you say the co values at raised idle are out then you will have to bite the bullet and have it checked out, diagnostics at a distance don't work very well.
the lambda value passed the initial inspection.
the co% after 2nd fast idle didn`t,
"crystal ball" is not "hot" enough to light up the "diagnostics",
maybye some fuel treatment and an "italian style" tune up, may be hot enough to light up the "cat" before the retest?

a a general rule if the lambso rearing os close to 1.0 so from 0.97 - 1.03 this usually means the engine itself is running sufficiently,
In general this usually means a catalytic converter could be at fault.
On your renault in particular as its a 1992 model i dont think off hand that it needs a cat bets test, i think this would be reverted on a non-cat test, this would mean that the CO could be up to 3.5%
however, the lean mixture is usually adjustable on the throttle body (copmmonly called carb) on a vehicle of that age, so you need to check firstly that the correct test was carried out for the age of the vehicle (possibly with renault themselves) then have an experienced mechanic to make any ammendment to the mixture adjustment (if applicable) before you go splashing out your £££'s for a new catalytic converter which may not be required by MOT law for your vehicle.
Hope this helps

assuming your fail co rate was about .5% or there abouts then your fault would normally be the cat.no one on this site(or any other)could be one 100% without seeing it however.you need to spend time and money getting it properly diagnosed.

Most common fault is the Lambda (oxygen sensor) but your friendly garage mechanic can check that for you.
