Tracking will not be tested as part of the MOT test, so aslong as youre tyres have not worn excessively because of this you will be ok.

If its a 2 wheel drive you're vehicle willl not usually be test driven with regardes to the brakes. Lets hope that you're pulling is down to tracking adjustment & not the braking system.

Why dont you ask the garage to carry out a roller brake test in their roller brake tester say a week prior to the MOT. This way they could tell you weather you're brakes meet the requirements and will only take a few moments. (If you're lucky & they know you're booked in for a test with them shortly they may even check this for you with no charge. I know my ststion would.) Things like this reassures customers & a happy customer always comes back. Being a citroen place you may want to try a regular garage for cost purposes, however they are unlikely to charge for this service also.

That way you will know either to make adjustment or repair to you're braking system before the actual test & may result in a pass rather than failing on something you know is wrong. Being a citroen saxo or ax or peugeot 106 206 406????? by the seems of the brake adjustment set up may be worth you checking the front bottom ball joints for play, and the reat suspension radius arm bushes for wear, ( Have noticed this on a few models that i myself have testd).

May be cheeky to ask, could you rate my answer on the MANA on the left as nobody has done yet :o(

there wasnt anything mentioned on the mot prior to xmas. when it failed on the handbrake twice so left it till now to sort mot out i have a second car to use.

replaced the adjusters and it doesnt move when trying to pull off with the handbrake applied..
both sides dip down but it seems the drivers one dips slightly lower than passenger side..

ill replace the mounting
edit theres meant to be 3 on the back box the two at the tailpipe end are there but the back one isnt i should have made it more clear

the pulling isnt that bad tbh, although i do need the tracking doing

thanks

disc's can fail for being excessively scored, slightly scored is an advisory. You may need to sort these out ith regardes to the problem of pulling to the left. This may fail on the brakes being out of ballance it its above 25% of an imballance which may be possible, would defonatly check brakes (calipar, flexi) first, before having an MOT test.

middle exhaust rubber is a fail, even though the exhaust is secure, the failiure criteria is an exhaust mounting which does not fully support the exhaust system, so if you have a missing exhaust rubber the metal mounting points are not fully supporting the exhaust system

As for the handbrake, aslong as a combened effore of 16% is achieved this will be ok. So unless the side which does not dip down is seriously low on performance you should be fine!!

Good luck & keep us informed please

right ive booked the mot (19th march)

but looking at the front brakes, the discs are slightly scored pads are fine but the car pulls to the left slightly on applying the brakes yet if i slam on the brakes its stops straight will this be a problem for mot? (bare in mind its a free citreon one)

also middle exhaust rubber missing but the other 2 are there and the exhaust is secure (failure???)

handbrake works but the drivers side one (adjuster doesnt have that silver clip on seems to put more effort down, well the drivers side of the car goes down a little further than the passenger side, is this an issue?)
