my first car was a corsa. then a punto gt turbo. then a fiat tempre (dont like admitting that) then fiat bravo then mitsubishi carisma then a golf, then another golf lol

all of which have common faults but who cares he?? long as you're aware of then you can prepare for your next mot within pleanty of time & avoid any failiures lol

corsa's are cracking little cars , granted the earlier ones are quite rotten now , but they are 16 or 17 years old :shock:
there may be quite a few common faults but at least they are cheap to repair & maintain :dude:
keep it going for as long as you can & enjoy the economy of the 1.0

As I said, don't want to be a downer, I love corsa's too. We all got to make a living!!

Anyone who owns a Corsa still has the right to point and laugh at Fiat Puntos, or Ford Ka's :D:D

look , you cannot put me off my lovely lil corsa you know lol, you forgot to mention clutch cable snapping aswell. i not done too bad though, i paid only £450 for it xreg so only year 2000. 5 door, not got power steering but i not bothered, i find it easier especially if u sneeze at the wheel , it doesn't try to go on other side of road lol.
i have spent abit on it but not major. new cv joint and wing mirror which i knew b4 i bought, that cost £45 in total.
clutch cable the nice AA man replaced for me til i bought one for £15
new back n middle box sections for exhaust recently £80 inc labour
oil switch went, £8
not bad really, as i do around 30miles a day just running around for the family and its only a 973 cc engine lol
so please, dont tell me anymore problems i could have with it i might cry lol
my sister got a rover 25, had it 2 months paid £850 for it immaculate 1 owner w reg, head gasket went whilst on motorway, cost her £450 to replace. so any car can go at any time, but the corsa will give you more signals if gasket is on way out. :)

Hi, don't want to be a downer, but anyone told you about corsa driveshaft gaiters, or springs, or brake hose's, or pipes?

You are not going to like this but its very common the clips go at the bottom and cost pennies, they take about 5 mins to fit each and the same again to set them up if the adjusters are ok.
