I agree it is a good thing for road safety and the mot trade, but nobody ever really knows what the Government are going to do next?
Latest Matters of Testing points out that;
The consumers and this includes us, are going to be subject to road side checks and if problems are found with items like tyres, brakes and steering etc, then a fixed penalty up to £200 and yes "Points on your license" to round it off.
Then later the insurance companies have access to the data files on every vehicle, and a none disclosure of a material fact on insurance proposal to finish it off should see the driver "Walking". 12 points is not a lot to gain, how many is a worn ball joint worth?
