Hi Stealth,

as you say, no such thing as credit points until you are up for being struck off, they are then collated and taken into consideration, so in reality no one has got any credit points.

Where do you see these bonus points? Just wondering as you say you've recieved no letter which is not surprizing since you only tested it yesterday (Tues) and Royal snail mails deffo not that quick :D are the points sent to you by the messages on pc?

No bonus points folks - that is unless you do something daft enough to potentially get you struck off. Then the 'bonus' points for previous satisfactory mystery shoppers & re-examinations of recently tested cars comes into play - it's all in the MOT Guide.

These 'bonus' points can be taken into consideration & deducted from the points you are facing, which might be enough to save your licence.

As for the snail mail letters- testers are now notified of a satisfactory mystery shopper via a message on the VTS device - usually around 4 - 6 weeks after the event.

;)

Well maybe things differ slightly between areas,  we always get verbal confirmation on any type of visit, and then letter to follow.;)

No they are not obliged to reveal at all, a letter usually informs you at a later date.
