thanks rocky  for your understanding we now in the process  of  trying to lessen our points ie soliciter /rmi etc etc ,just like many other vts"s caught on a bad day would have rather been advised how to put things right than hauled over the coals will let u know how we get on thanks again for your support g

You missed the point. Had he advised on it the examiner may have only decided it was an error of judgement and not given 30 points.

The tester may have made the mistakes, but was he at fault, you advise you have lightend his work load, was you not pushing for too much from him?

Sorry to hear of your grief charmaine, i have also recently been on the wrong side of vosa and feel for ya nt.
All that good work and years of good conduct counts for nothing where vosa are concerned, the disciplinary side should be changed to help NT's not ban them.

The only advice i can give is get some professional help from an mot consultant, will cost ya but well worth it.

looking for advice my main nt has had a random retest on a pick up he had failed on several points .the pick up was re tested & was found to have some corroision he had not advised on, a obstruction  in the line of vison & 2 brake pipes that where insecure,{in their clips but not all of them]also he failed a brake pipe that was not { in their opinion]corroded. we have been  formally interviewed & awarded 110 points have 15 days to appeal . i have given him a writen warning booked him on a refresher  lessened his work load & changed our qc arrangements . what more can we do to please them & lessen our points has anyone had a similar problem??:?
