An AE must provide insurance cover for anybody who has the authority to inspect or carry out demonstrations or appeals and the like at a test station. I read something many moons ago in the VTS guide about it.
An employer is duty bound to supply workwear to their members of staff, so if the employer has not provided you with a hard hat and you have an accident, then under health and safety, and something to do with employment law the employer is up the creek without a paddle?
