| How can a Tester "refuse" to Test a car thats been booked in?....(apart from the OBVIOUS refusals to Test)........I did'nt think we could pick and choose at our own discretion?...Maybee said "tester" needs a Refresher or a Formal warning...

hi martin, are you actually registered with and approved by vosa to be QC at your VTS, you could refuse to QC, but if vosa know there are two testers at your VTS and there are no records of any QC checks done by you on the system guess who they will come looking for to find out why you are not carrying out your duties as QC,you and also the AE of the VTS. if the other tester only does his mates cars then i would say the problem should be dealt with by the owner or whoever is running the VTS now. to be sure phone the VOSA HELP DESK for your area and ask them. have a look at the link as well. http://www.motinfo.gov.uk/htdocs/tgs0b000114.htm

I work at a garage where my boss has recently died (R.I.P.) and I am the QC. We have another MOT tester who refuses to test cars for the business & will only do them on mates cars.
My question is "What would happen if I refuse to QC him every month?"
