I understand you will fail if you only have one rear footpeg, but both or none will pass.

Once upon a time in my dirty past, i had to put dents in the tank to pass the MOT. I had fitted racing handlebars and they were fouling the tank :D

They do not need to be fitted for MOT

Dents in the tank are not a failure.
