Firefox is excellent, I've used it for years and wouldn't go back to IE. Mozilla's email client (thunderbird) is also very good.

Open office is brilliant, compatible with microsoft office but free. I use Avant browser instead of internet explorer, and CCleaner sorts out all the crap. Martin
