we lost about 4 tests, tried logging on at 1.20 no go,at 2.20 finally got thru and got emergency no.when i asked why it wasnt on their message was told they had only just received it,state of the art?more like state of the toilet.this system shud be cabable of doing so much more, has anyone out there found anything except a fuel recall on the vri screen?ive stopped using it-just wasted time and effort.why are no safety recalls worth a *** displayed on that ***poor excuse for a computer?we were promised a major improvement in safety recall standards, this would have been of great benefit to the public, the testers-who could share information on common faults-and road safety in general.instead myself and many others have had our primary purpose altered to being computer typists whos sole pupose appears to be correcting decades of incorrect data entry by minimum wage civil service dimwits.i think the main purpose of this system is more concerned with revenue gathering by correcting enough information to make road tax easier to enforce.the sad fact is i get more information about the problems we face from this website than from vosa+siemens combined.1 sobering thought, the pc i type this on appears to have more processing power than a national system taking years to test and install.memo to siemens-ring microsoft, theyll show how to do it!ohy yeah,my station was in dunstable.dont get much free time(too busy performing catch up!)so any comments may take a while to answer.castrolrob@ntlworld.com

The editor of MOT Testing Jim Punter has advised us that the system failed at about 1.30pm, and VOSA instigated ET at 2.02pm. However the incident number did not appear on the Siemens message until between 2.20 and 2.30pm.

He was also concerned that the promise from VOSA that emergency Testing would be instigated within 15 minutes of a system failure was not fulfilled. VOSA are taking up the issue with Siemens - although whether or not the trade ever find out what actually went wrong or why in another matter.

We hope that some sort of explanation will appear either in MOT Testing magazine or on the website.

tried to log a result in at 14.05 and didnt get the emergency test number until 14.30 all the message on the phone said was try again in 15 mins i kept pressing f2 as instructed on the computer  but  all that happened was "fatal errors" every time i tried to call the call center the lines were "too busy" please try later. thankfully the customer was patient until eventually i got a e.t number.
