Thats very true David, but only when the spare wheel is mounted externally, I reckon the tyre might have been changed as part of a service package? I think I would ask the VTS what actually happened if it were my car.

The spare tyre is not an item that should be Tested as part of an MOT Test. However it would be imprudent to run a vehicle with a faulty spare tyre as it would be driven illegally should you have to use the spare in the event of having a puncture.

I have just been looking at your site on MOT quiz answers, and I have just recently had my MOT and they have replaced my spare tyre. Could you please clarify if this is a MOT check or not Allana Burgess
