"It Passed last Year"
"Should be OK I've/my mates just serviced it"
"Its only done 100 Miles since the last MOT"
"It was like that last year and you passed it"
"They all do that"

had a landrover in for test this morning one of the items it failed on was swivel pin movement, video on youtube

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3euwJ0WT39g even more shocking was the 2 child seats in the vehicle and a judder from the brakes! Vehicle was in daily use and also used for towing a trailer
The owner of the vehicle has previously had a swivel pin collapse so no excuse for not being aware of the problem.

The judder was reported by the vehicle presenter (not the owner) and a brake test wasn't attempted even though we have a RBT with 4wd mode, I certainly wouldn't have tested it with the tapley, don't keep a spare pair of boxers at work.:D
