Thanks for confirming the LED.
I will swap the USB cable tomorrow - dont have a spare one here.
The device is in device manager, so its recognised by the PC, so doubt if its the cable... I suspect there will be a setting in the software that determines the ports shown as options... its old (looking!) software so suspect there will be an INI file somewhere.... and a driver to go with it.
I am just so suspicious re the fact it stopped working after the damn thing was calibrated - and when i was told its £2k to get it fixed.... you can imagine the reaction...
There is just so little information around the web about this kit - wish I had a support contract with Bosch and could use their online ticket system and knowledgebase!
