I've been having the same issues with our Premier smoke tester. After a discussion with the calibration engineer, I can momentarily block off the vent underneath the smoke head, this will then force a head temp rise, and give a pass. Don't know if yours has a similar vent or not. But ask the calibration about it next time he's in Fav
