Forgot to mention you probably will lose 2 weeks at least in testing. 1 week for digging out and concrete pour. Concrete needs AT LEAST 1 week before re-installation to ensure concrete has achieved satisfactory strength... If OPTL / ATL becomes mandatory then all you will need is a lift fitted with play detectors and a pair of convex mirrors + brake pedal depressor. Don't forget a VT01 form though before you do anything... More than likely the lift is going to be wider and longer than your existing lift so some groundwork is probably going to be required if the lift is recessed. Assuming this is the case and your station was approved before November 2010 then the distance between the rollers and rear crossbeam of your lift (assuming your in line recessed) will be 1.5m or thereabouts - there is a smaller requirement here now in dimensional terms so it will all squeeze in... Hi there is there any truth in that dvsa are looking to introduce one man testing for all garages in the year 15-16 ? If so what needs to be upgraded on a standard class 4 mot bay Many thanks lee
