Hi. Welcome to the Forum

Your information is correct,

If the vehicle has an engine immobiliser fitted. Yours will have a transponder in the key itself.
Or if a device to to lock the steering brakes or transmission is fitted that would be OK too.
Take it back, tell them to read the inspection manual 2.1.

I have a 2009 Citroen Dispatch which has just failed the MOT as steering lock does not work. I have been informed that providing the vehicle has immobilisation, which it has as part of the ignition key, it should have passed.
Have i been advised correctly or incorrectly.
