I think the key is who is the AE. In our case it's the limited company.
In your case it's the current owner of the firm.

Hi Kev if he is a sole trader and he made me a partner in his business would a seamless work then ? Obviously my first port of call is doing some AE training and then taking my assessment.

If it's run by a sole trader I think you won't be able to do a seamless transfer. If it's a Limited Company there's no issue. I've done it.
Stealth should be able to clarify.

Hi and thankyou for the add to the forum.

I am a NT and i have found a couple of MOT businesses for sale in my area,both of the businesses are Lease property.
I have been at a previous garage that got sold on to a new AE and it went threw a seamless transfer which is what i am hoping for also.
What would be my next course of action ? become a partner in the business?sort a lease?take my AE training and assessment.
