Hi Brian & welcome to the forum.

There are no requirements in the MOT which stipulate the kind of material used for side windows, although polycarbonate is not deemed acceptable for use in the HGV & PSV rules due to its brittle nature.

I would recommend perspex as the best alternative. There are no requirements for any safety markings.

I have a 1960 Ford F100 truck and need to replace my side wind up windows, my question is do they need to be glass?
Can i use polycarbonate, makralon etc and do these need to be marked in any way to be legal.
