Daz,

did read your post re:-  parliamentary legislation, and have informed all at my vts, trouble is we are only able to forward this info as a best guest reply to any customer questions. I'm sure you and your VE are right, but we need to be advised through the correct channels with a full explanation of why the rfr's were rescinded.

i get more information on vehicle testing from this forum that either vosa or sbs, it is a valuable sourcing medium with members that via discussion and tips are striving to run the scheme in responsible and uniform manner; I wish I could say the same for the two governing bodies. Be rather good if changes to the scheme were effected from this forum, hands on people at the sharp end making the rules rather than the desk prolls we have to bow down too !

Keep it going people your doing a great job

explanation is the sn is the same as the friday mail, technical reasons. sorry this is simply not good enough. we have customers that will require a more explicit reason never mind the nt's. many vehicle owners will be of the opinion they have been ripped off for the last month, and we are unable to give them a response that will solve the problem.

i wonder what would happen if i told a customer his car had failed the test due to a technical problem with the steering ! ! thinks the vosa people would be shoving some points my way or leave your ticket on the desk when you leave ! !

as stated earlier in this posting vosa criteria is Do as I say not as I do

I will push the help desk Monday, never had a straight answer yet from them, but first times for everything !

Seminars are sure to be a bit like the opening sequance to saving private ryan, this year.

It arrived on my VTS Device today (Friday)

No explanation, just clarification of the items not to be tested.

I got the SN this morning.

Interestingly, It is the first SN on the computer not to have a print button at the top of the screen. (I wonder why?)

My VE insists that all SNs are printed and filed in hard copy form so this will fox him!

yet again we are left at the sharp end of the stick trying to explain to customers when they enquire on monday why there illegal number plates are now as if by magic legal :X and vosa clamp down hard on us for bringing the testing scheme in to disrepute..wonder what brung the turnaround about:?

they'll still be illegal just not included on the test - so no one should complain they've got to change their plates because they now satisfy the law which they didn't previously

sorry mate the local traffic police dept. haven't been informed about the requirements as far as they are concerned as yet it is for the now just an mot matter!!!:?:?:? man this is getting a bit confusing!!!
