MOT now done (passed with flying colours), no issues at finding it on the system.

Cheers for the reply, car reg/vin/v5 all 100% match. I think based on what you've said it's because it's an old car thats had an engine change and being prepped for track/rally/hillclimb, probably didn't want the hassle then. If I had the space for a trailer it would be a lot easier ![]()

heres the most common ones, incorrect record held by dvla-given you can look it up it will most likely be the vin thats wrong.second, recent transfer from a private reg, third, private import/not registered/hid in a barn for the last few years, fourth, old or oddball motor that they dont wanna get involved with and this seems like a good excuse to death it out, fifth ringer or clone, sixth, previous new record created with wrong details.first check the vehicle vin closely against the details on your logbook(17 digit no)cos thats the most likely.any difference means the system wont recognise it.

Hi all, recently took my car for an MOT and they said they couldn't find it on the system so couldn't MOT it. I checked on the gov site using me reg and it comes up with all the history, how is this possible?
