in all fairness how do you tell when its been removed if it was a caravan club 7 pin which we dont test anyway or a 12 pin that we do?had loads taken off after failing the plug in test cos theyre generally on a multiplug on the loom,off,pass,plug it back on when ive finished cos whatever your tester shows 9 times outta 10 its working anyway,utter waste of our time

i know right, we are taught to use common sense when common sense is thrown out of the window with half of the regs. oh well thanks for the clarification castrolrob!

aint a fail for it missing,damaged/exposed wiring?yup.p+a would be my guess till they fix it.how can not being able to plug it in at all be a pass but a foglight not working on your trailer socket tester is a fail?hey i didnt write the regs.....

hi guys just after some clarification. if a trailer electrical socket has been removed but the tow ball is still fitted is that any reason for an advise/fail?, i cannot seem to find any info in section 4.10 so am fairly certain no but it intrigued me nonetheless.
