I took it for MOT and it passed, looks like this damage wasn't that significant.

![]() looks like rim flange damage but as rob said get it checked by whoever your local tyre specialist is.. rim flange is thicker so may not of got through to the cord.

yeah but i cant see inside it from here,your best bet would be to get it checked by whoever your local tyre specialist is or a friendly local tester.also keep in mind that lumps/bulges/wheel damage etc would have to be assessed,all this requires a physical examination which i cant do online.what i can see looks liveable but it may not be the whole story.

Can the tear seen in the photo on the tyre attached to the post cause a MOT failure? Its not deep and is not causing air to leak. Got it will turning too close to a kerb. TIA. Attachment: Tyre tear.jpg (Downloaded 37 times)
