Hi welcome to the forum TonyReef, The yellow brake dash warning light on your Nissan Leaf being permanently on is a pass, stand to be corrected. Below is an extract from the MOT inspection manual.. Electronic braking system (EBS)  As a foot note to above if it were a red brake dash warning light then maybe a tester might construe it to be a fail although aint sure what the Reason for Refusal would be.

Hi, The yellow brake dash warning light on my Nissan Leaf is permanently on. (NOT the red brake warning light) The owner's manual says 'it functions for both the regenerative brake and the electronically driven intelligent brake system' There has been no change to the braking since it came on. The error code says 'Pwr Supply Backup Unit Comm error' I have it booked in with Nissan to be checked but the earliest they can do it is in 4 weeks time. The MOT is due next week. Will it fail the MOT because of this warning light? Many thanks
