|Welcome to the MOT Testing Forums
This forum was set up in May 2006, by MOT Testing Magazine, as a forum for MOT professionals to discuss matters relating to the UK MOT Test, and to assist motorists with MOT queries.
Whether you are an MOT Authorised Examiner, MOT Tester or member of the public, you will probably find the answer to your MOT-related question here.
The MOT Testing Forums now attract over 23,000 visitors a month, generating over 200,000 page views.
Using the forum is very simple.
Firstly, you could try using the 'Search' box above - this will bring up any previous topics which might cover your topic or question.
Type in a word or short phrase ie 'emissions failure on Renault Laguna', click the 'Search' button and then click on the list which comes up. If nothing is found, you might try simplifying your search ie: 'emissions'.
If you still don't find what you are looking for, post a question in the relevant section. You will need to register first. Registering is simple and quick - just click on Register and follow the instructions.
(The instructions below apply once you have Registered).
To post a question, select the appropriate Category: Public (to ask a question about your car passing or failing the MOT' or Trade (if you are in the trade and want to discuss trade matters with others in the trade), technical is for Trade Members only,
Then select the Forum which best matches your topic or question (ie Pass or Fail) and click on the 'New Topic' button.
Type in a Subject, a Description, then type out your message, preview and edit if necessary and click on the Send button.
Your Topic will be posted immediately and you will probably receive a reply within a day or so, possibly even within an hour - it depends on who is on the forum at the time.
Please do not use profane or insulting language - your post will be deleted.
Do not defame or libel anyone - your post will be deleted.
Click on the 'MOT Testing Forums' link, top left, to get back to the main page.
An email will be sent to the email address you have supplied when a reply to your question is posted (unless you have de-selected that option).
